Hi there, I'm Lester.

I am an architect turned UX designer.

I am passionate about building moments and experiences in both physical and digital spaces.

What I'm up to now...

Empowering users with experiences designed for them

UX CASE STUDY | CLIENT PROJECT

We're designing and developing the Harlem Digital Archive, a living archive to preserve the rich history of Harlem, NYC. I advise on best practices, created mockups and design options, data flows, and custom coded html, CSS, and JavaScript.

UX CASE STUDY | PUBLIC MEMORY INITIATIVE

Storytelling Spaces of Solidarity in the Asian Diaspora (SSSAD) logo featuring a blood orange logo that reads SSSAD.

We designed, developed, and launched SSSAD’s website which archives interviews, convenings, and stories from Asian diaspora designers and leaders. I advised on best practices, created mockups and design options, and custom coded html, CSS, JavaScript, and python.

UX CASE STUDY | COLLECTIVE PROJECT

Dark Matter U’s logo featuring a black logo that reads DMU.

We co-designed the new Dark Matter U website to connect like-minded mission-driven educators to foster change toward an anti-racist model of design education. I hosted design workshops, worked collaboratively across the collective, coded, and launched DMU's website redesign.

UX CASE STUDY | CLIENT PROJECT

Marble logo featuring a retro marble logo with midnight blue, orange, cream, and mustard yellow colors with midnight blue text that reads Marble.

Within a team of four, we redesigned our client Marble’s shopping feature on their website, helping policyholders compare and choose the right policies for them and their families. I rearranged key features, improved the UX copy, and ultimately, created a mental model that makes more sense.

UX CASE STUDY | CONCEPT PROJECT

Flea logo featuring a cursive text logo with a deep brown color.

Within a team of four, we designed an app that empowers online sellers by making in-person markets accessible to them so they could build trust and emotional connections with their customers and products.

UX CASE STUDY | CONCEPT PROJECT

Professor Investor logo featuring a professor with a top hat and a thick mustache with a deep blue color.

Within a team of four, we designed a platform that provides educational videos, taught by real professionals, so that novice investors could learn everything they need to know about how to invest. We created a responsive web-based product that leverages social capital to build knowledge.
